About

Elle Jaclyn uses a bevy of last names mainly because she hates her own. She lives in Lindenwold, New Jersey, attends Rowan University, and generally thinks of herself as a plucky artisan, an overly-thoughtful writer, a constant reader, and a constant napper. She sews! She writes! She teaches her cat to play fetch! She's also sick of the third person.

Anyway.

I have a degree in graphic design that scared me back into college for "Writing Arts" with a concentration in "Professional Writing," meaning I'm preparing myself for a life as a secretary editor writer and literary agent? Something. I used to write romance under a pseudonym for the money, but in the words of Neil Gaiman, "Nothing I did where the only reason for doing it was the money was ever worth it." I have thousands of words I hate, and now I just write what I want. And think about writing what I want. And debating symbolism. And sewing, because if I don't write I'm only ever happy doing things with my hands, whether it be making skirts or jewelry or binding books.

Oh, I also bind books. Mostly to make journals that I never use and sometimes sell.

I live with my boyfriend (who makes comics and takes pictures) and my cat (who does neither but can play fetch!) and an old sewing machine and lots of books. I'm also going to be published one day. Just you wait!

But I suppose that's neither here nor there.
